Author Reflection
I spent a long time building things that were supposed to matter — and mostly they did, until quietly and without announcement, they stopped returning what they once promised. No single moment of collapse. Just a slow accumulation of evidence that the exchange I'd agreed to was no longer delivering what it once promised.
This book is my attempt to hand you a single, reusable question — one that works on any arrangement, any advantage, any inherited assumption about what constitutes a good position in life. Not an answer. Just a lens. The kind that strips away mythology and lets you see what you actually have, what it's actually costing, and whether the exchange still makes sense given the world as it is today.
I still apply it to my own life. Imperfectly, and repeatedly.
